Pensioned Central Kentucky stallion Stop the Music, a successful broodmare sire who won the 1972 Champagne Stakes at Belmont Park via the disqualification of Secretariat, was euthanized at the age of 35 on July 8 due to the infirmities of old age at Antony Beck’s Gainesway in Lexington.
